More than 12 coaches of the 12506 Delhi-Kamakhya North East Express derailed near the Raghunathpur station in Bihar’s Buxar district on Wednesday, causing at least six fatalities and nearly 100 injuries. As a result, other trains have been canceled and diverted.l

The Patna-Puri Special (03230), Sasaram-Ara Special (03620), Bhabua Road Express Special (03617), Patna–DDU Memu Pass Spl (03203), and Patna-Buxar Memu Pass Special (03375) have all been canceled, according to an official announcement from the East Central Railway zone. In addition, two trains, the Patna-DDU Express (13209) and the DDU-Patna Express (13210), which both operate up to Ara, have been partially canceled.

According to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, the rescue effort is underway at the scene of the Buxar incident on a war footing.

The rehabilitation work is now ongoing at the Bihar train accident site.

Tejashwi Yadav, the deputy chief minister of Bihar, has called to the district magistrate and SP of Buxar and Arrah and instructed them to send the appropriate officers to the scene of the incident as soon as possible and make proper arrangements for the injured.
