As part of its campaign for Mizoram, the Congress Party offered Rs 15 lakh in health insurance, an Old Pension Scheme, and subsidized LPG.In its manifesto, the party promised the return of the Old Pension Scheme, subsidized LPG cylinders at Rs 750 for low-income households, and health insurance coverage of Rs 15 lakh per family for cashless hospital treatment.Congress stated in its 12-page manifesto that if elected, it would improve grassroots democracy by providing village councils and local bodies more power, duties, and financial resources.The party also stated that it would build better and more long-lasting public infrastructure, such as highways, airports, and electricity lines.

The grand old party also launched the ‘Tang Puihna’ initiative, under which farmers and businesses would receive Rs 2 lakh in financial help to create sustainable economic and livelihood activities.
