Shraddha Kapoor, Kapil Sharma Summoned by ED in Betting Case

Following Ranbir Kapoor, the Enforcement Directorate summoned actors Shraddha Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, Hina Khan, and comedian Kapil Sharma in an internet betting case.

The ED has summoned celebrities such as actor Shraddha Kapoor and comedian Kapil Sharma in connection with an online betting case.

The Enforcement Directorate has summoned actors Shraddha Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, Hina Khan, and comedian Kapil Sharma in connection with its investigation into an online betting case.

The investigation agency has summoned Huma Qureshi and Hina Khan for alleged app promotion, as well as Kapil Sharma for attending the Mahadev Book app’s success party in Dubai last September. Shraddha Kapoor has been summoned to appear before the Central Bureau of Investigation on Friday, October 6.

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor, who was called by the Enforcement Directorate in the same matter, asked the central investigation agency for more time to appear in person on Thursday. The Enforcement Directorate has yet to determine whether to give the actor two weeks.

Several renowned Bollywood actors and singers are being investigated by the investigating agency in connection with the Mahadev internet betting case. An India Today exclusive reported last month that stars and singers attended the wedding ceremony of Mahadev Book app entrepreneur, Sourabh Chandrakar, in UAE in February of this year.

The ED and police departments in numerous states are investigating the Mahadev Book app, an online betting business.

The company, founded by Sourabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal, was based in Dubai. According to the Enforcement Directorate, the company used the online book betting software to sign up new users, generate IDs, and launder money through a complex web of benami bank accounts.
