To pull off the feat, the Sunny Deol-starring film had to defeat Shah Rukh Khan’s “Pathaan.” With “Jawan,” SRK has dethroned “Gadar 2,” though. ‘Jawan’ was able to surpass ‘Gadar 2’ in just one day and become the highest grossing Hindi movie ever in India in just 22 days!
THE HIGHEST-GROUNDING HINDI FILM IN INDIA BECOMES “JAWAN”
Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, has become the most successful Hindi movie ever released in India. It succeeded to dethrone Sunny Deol’s “Gadar 2,” which was directed by Atlee. Shah Rukh Khan can rejoice twice because ‘Pathaan’ held the title up until September 26. Within one day of ‘Gadar 2’ overtaking it, ‘Jawan’ smashed the record.
The movie surpassed all records at the international box office, grossing more than Rs 1000 crore and standing tall at a staggering 1043.21cr. In just 22 days, all of these enormous sums were collected, and records were broken.
Jawan’s performance is unaffected by the new releases, and it is a clear sign that fans are loving the film and showering praise on it even in its third week.
